Synopsis
In the mystical lands governed by ancient prophecies, the cycle of power is set to shift with the awakening of the Prophecy Stones, signalling the start of The Fifth Cycle. Kynn, the blind Witch of Air, learns of this dire change from The Keranon. Already sensing the winds of trouble, Kynn discovers that his key spies have mysteriously vanished, likely ensnared by the formidable Witch of Fire, Fajra, whose power to unleash devastating fireballs and ignite volcanoes has grown terrifyingly potent.
As Fajra’s madness escalates, her fiery wrath threatens to consume the world in chaos. Determined to thwart her apocalyptic ambitions, Kynn sets out on a perilous journey, driven by the urgent need to rescue his allies. His path is joined by Mira, a young woman whose bravery and honesty ignite the spark of adventure. Mira’s deep love for Kynn steers her dangerously close to ultimate sacrifice, shaping the course of their quest.
With Fajra targeting the newly appointed Trot, Nesta—a twelve-year-old girl poised to lead the Wicca—Kynn must navigate a deadly maze of power and prophecy. He rallies friends, old and new, in a desperate bid to protect Nesta and prevent Fajra from seizing absolute control.
Amongst his enemies, Arcana, the enigmatic Witch of Water, finds herself at a crossroads, her loyalty tested as she witnesses Fajra's descent into tyranny. Her choices become pivotal, weaving her fate intricately into the fabric of the impending conflict.
As the final confrontation looms, Kynn, supported by the steadfast Witch of Earth, Peyla, and the courageous Ffion, must face Fajra in a battle that will decide the fate of their world. With the old guard and new faces united, they forge a future where the fight against darkness endures, leaving the mystery of the next Witch of Fire smouldering in the ashes of battle.

Light Seeker is the second in the Prophecy Stones series.
Despite activating the Fire Pool, Nesta and Kynn must next discover the whereabouts of the Prophecy Stones, but the Power of Fajra is growing stronger and the reach of her followers is increasing.
Lord Mool intends to invade the magical city of Nag and, once that is won, the whole of Mundo is under threat, from the south right to the north. Fajra's alliance with the Pysgot and Skyke has reached a fever pitch with both sets of creatures anxious to secure the death of Nesta and Kynn.
Although Nesta has found friendships in Peyla, Jessica and Taiven, amongst others, such is the devastation being wrought on Mundo that it is growing increasingly difficult for them to stay together, their strengths being needed in different parts of the country, tearing the tiny alliance apart.
As Nesta decides on her next strategy, it seems that Fajra is able to hone in on her talents and turn her Power against her, rendering her helpless.
Having spent much of the first novel establishing the creatures and ethos of Mundo, this novel really zings. Quite cinematic in some of the set pieces, with moments of beauty to off-set the action, this is an excellent continuation of the series.

Dark Betrayer is the third book in the series and ends the spine-tingling chase by the evil Fajra and her search for the young child, Nesta. The two finally must face one another and so finally decide the fate of the world: Fajra's desire for overarching power and dominance, or Nesta's hope for peace and balance for the thousands whose hopes rest solely on her.
Fajra has accumulated a force of soldiers and creatures, who are equally ambitious for a stake in the new power of the world, whilst Nesta has only a few trustworthy friends, but is struggling to stay in contact with them.
Nesta accepts that she must face Fajra, for the time of running and hiding is past and only a short period is left for her to have any hope of denting Fajra's desire for dominance. There are heart stopping moments as the chase nears its climax and Nesta's friends desperately try to catch up with her and offer their support. The questions they must all face is: do they have the loyalty to offer themselves in a supreme sacrifice to save Nesta and will their love for the child be enough to overcome the final hurdle?
As the third book in this fabulous series the characters continued to flourish and grow, along with the story - coming to a ' mind blowing' conclusion before a finale which paves the way (hopefully) for further installments. Can't wait for the next one.

Of the other three potential leaders of the free world: Taiven, Jessica and Peyla, one has to move out of Rant to take back control of Nag.
The team that looked to win Rant back for the people is divided and lost.
Fajra looks to recover her strength following the battle with Nesta and regain the power of The Prophecy Stones.
