About David E Owen

Writer. Photographer. Theatre maker. And still finding new things to try.

I’m an author, originally from Wales, now based in Derby, UK, writing historical fiction and contemporary thrillers, but writing is only part of what I do.

My historical novels grew from an interest in the people and events that shaped Wales, while the Owen Stone thrillers take me into politics, technology, espionage and some of the issues affecting the world today.

Away from writing, photography has been a lifelong interest. Theatre has been part of my life for more than fifty years, as an actor, director and creator of video for live productions. More recently, I have begun developing a rugby management game, combining another long-standing interest with the possibilities offered by new technology.

This website brings all of those interests together.
