Places, journeys and the stories behind them
Photography has been part of my life for many years, particularly landscape, travel and the character of places.
In recent years, writing and photography have increasingly come together. Research for the Owen Stone thrillers has taken me to several of the countries in which the novels are set, allowing me to photograph the real locations, landscapes and communities that sit behind the fiction.
Away from photographing places, I also enjoy capturing the wildlife that inhabits them, particularly animals in motion or in flight.
This is a selection of photographs from those journeys, and from closer to home.
Places and Landscapes
From familiar British landscapes to places encountered further afield, I am drawn to the character of a location, its light, architecture and the details that make it distinctive.
This collection is growing and will be added to regularly.
